Uniforms

Uniform Guidelines

At King George, our school uniform is a reflection of our identity, pride, and professional values. Wearing the uniform correctly reinforces a sense of belonging, equality, and readiness to learn. All students are expected to follow the uniform policy with consistency and respect.

Formal Uniform (Mandatory on Designated Days & Events)

Students must wear the full formal uniform during:

  • Weekly assemblies
  • Special school events or celebrations
  • Academic presentations
  • School photos or formal group appearances

Formal Uniform Components:

  • White button-up shirt (long or short sleeve)
  • Navy blue blazer or vest with school crest
  • Navy blue trousers or knee-length skirt
  • School tie (provided upon enrolment)
  • Dark socks or tights (navy/black)
  • Black formal shoes (leather or equivalent – no trainers/sportswear)

Note: The blazer or vest is compulsory during cold seasons or designated formal occasions.

Daily (Casual) Uniform

To be worn on regular school days and for general classroom activities.

Casual Uniform Components:

  • Polo shirt with school logo (available in school colours)
  • Navy or grey trousers, shorts, or skirts
  • Optional school sweatshirt, cardigan, or fleece
  • Clean, low-profile shoes or trainers (neutral colours; no bright patterns)

All items must be clean, in good condition, and properly fitted. Hats, caps, or hoods are not permitted indoors.

PE & Sports Uniform

To be worn only during physical education lessons, sports training, and field activities.

PE Uniform Includes:

  • Sports T-shirt with school logo
  • Navy or black sports shorts or track pants
  • Sports trainers (non-marking soles)
  • Optional: School hoodie or sports jacket (seasonal)

Personal Appearance Guidelines

  • Hair must be clean, neat, and kept away from the face
  • Hairstyles, makeup, and accessories should be modest and appropriate for school
  • Jewelry should be minimal and safe for school activities (no hoop earrings or sharp items)
  • Nail polish should be clear or neutral in tone

Important Notes

  • Students are expected to wear the correct uniform from arrival to departure
  • Uniform infractions will be addressed with a reminder; repeated non-compliance will involve parent notification
